Besonders Zellen, die von gesunden Spendern isoliert werden, zeichnen sich durch spezifische Merkmale gesunder Zellen im menschlichen K\u00f6rper aus:<\/p><ul><li>Begrenzte Proliferation und Lebensspanne (in der Regel gemessen an der Anzahl der Zellteilungen)<\/li><li>Niedrige Mutationsrate<\/li><li>Kontaktinhibition<\/li><li>Intakte Signalwege<\/li><li>Intrinsische biologische Variabilit\u00e4t<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/>Diese Eigenschaften sind essenziell f\u00fcr das Leben von Organismen unter physiologischen Bedingungen. In den meisten somatischen Zellen (alle K\u00f6rperzellen au\u00dfer den Keimzellen wie Spermien und Eizellen sowie Stammzellen) ist die Zellteilung mit einer Verk\u00fcrzung der Telomere (den Endabschnitten der Chromosomen) verbunden. Mit jeder weiteren Zellteilung verlieren die Zellen durch die Verk\u00fcrzung der Telomere die Stabilit\u00e4t ihrer Chromosomen, was zu einer erh\u00f6hten Mutationsrate, Zellalterung (Seneszenz) und schlie\u00dflich zum Zelltod f\u00fchrt.<\/p><p>Signale aus benachbarten Zellen regulieren diesen Prozess und geben den Zellen das Signal, die Teilung einzustellen (dies geschieht auch in <em>in-vitro<\/em>-Kulturen, sobald die Zellkonfluenz erreicht ist) und Zellsch\u00e4den zu vermeiden.<\/p><p>Diese biologischen Mechanismen unterstreichen die Bedeutung von Prim\u00e4rzellen f\u00fcr
